Job Summary
In this role, you’ll design, develop, and support enterprise customer communications solutions across print and digital channels. You’ll work with business and engineering partners to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable communications using OpenText Exstream and related customer communications technologies. You’ll be responsible for designing and enhancing customer communications solutions that support high-volume, on-demand, and interactive document generation. This role blends application engineering, platform configuration, integration, and production support.
You Will
- Assist with designing, configuring, and maintaining OpenText Exstream applications for customer-facing communications across print and digital channels
- Develop reusable components, templates, rules, and data mappings to support scalable communication solutions
- Build and support batch, on-demand, and interactive document generation workflows
- Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, quality engineers, infrastructure teams, and project managers to deliver end-to-end solutions
- Troubleshoot production issues, optimize performance, and improve reliability, quality, and operational support processes
- Support secure integrations with upstream and downstream systems using APIs, services, and event-driven patterns where applicable
- Ability to work onsite in Bengaluru, India is a requirement of the role.
- Hybrid role: onsite presence is required for key business engagements; remote flexibility applies based on team and business needs.
Skills And Background You’ll Need
Education
- Required: Bachelor's degree in software engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems
Experience
Required
Must-Have
- 3+ years of hands‑on experience with OpenText Exstream / OpenText Communications
- Experience with OpenText Exstream Cloud Native
- Experience with Design Manager, Designer, or Communications Designer
- Strong understanding of XML, JSON, flat files, data mapping, and document composition
- Experience supporting batch, on‑demand, or interactive document generation
- Experience working on either Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Experience working in Agile teams with source control, release processes, and testing practices
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills
Preferred
- Knowledge of OTDS, REST APIs, microservices, and cloud deployment patterns
- Experience with performance tuning, version upgrades, and modernization initiatives
- Scripting experience with SQL, Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices
- OpenText Notification (Core Messaging)
Certifications
- OpenText Exstream or OpenText Communications certification, or the ability to obtain certification within an agreed timeframe
- OpenText Exstream Cloud Native certification and cloud platform certifications such as Azure or AWS are a plus.
