Job summary

Gatim Fashion in Kolkata is seeking an Ecommerce Operations Executive to manage Shopify orders, invoicing, labelling, and daily stock updates. You will coordinate with courier partners, ensure same-day dispatch, and handle COD confirmations to keep shipments flowing smoothly.

Key duties include tracking courier pickups, managing returns and RTO, and generating weekly performance reports. Prior experience with Shiprocket/Delhivery is preferred, and proficiency in Excel/Sheets is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of hands-on Shopify experience (order processing, fulfilment, inventory).
• Experience with courier aggregators like Shiprocket, Delhivery, NimbusPost, Shipway.
• 1–4 years in e-commerce operations or logistics; D2C fashion a big plus.
• Comfortable with Excel or Google Sheets (filters, simple formulas).

Responsibilities

• Process daily orders on Shopify: confirm, invoice, print labels and hand to packing team.
• Book shipments on courier platforms and ensure same-day dispatch before 2 pm.
• Call or WhatsApp COD customers to confirm orders before shipping.
• Schedule and follow up on daily courier pickups; escalate missed pickups the same day.
• Track shipments and push couriers to deliver; check courier bills weekly.
• Track RTO and returns from courier dashboard; restock and record damaged items.
• Run weekly stock counts and fix mismatches between Shopify and shelf.
• Send a Monday report on WhatsApp: orders shipped, dispatch rate, RTO, and stock.

Job description

Gatim (gatim.in), a Jaipur-made cotton ethnic wear brand with 53 stores and a fast-growing online store.

What you will do:

Orders and dispatch (Shopify)

• Process daily orders on Shopify: confirm, invoice, print labels and hand them to the packing team.
• Book shipments on the courier platform (Shiprocket / Delhivery / others) and make sure every order before 2 pm goes out the same day.
• Call or WhatsApp COD customers to confirm the order before shipping.

Pickups and couriers:

• Schedule and follow up on daily courier pickups; Escalate missed pickups the same day.
• Track shipments stuck in transit and push couriers to deliver.
• Check courier bills every week and claim any overcharge on weight or wrong rates.

RTO and returns

• Track every RTO and return from the courier dashboard until it reaches the warehouse.
• Check returned parcels within 48 hours, restock good pieces in Shopify and record damaged ones.
• Every month, report RTO rate by courier and by pincode, and suggest which pincodes to block or make prepaid-only.

Stock in and out

• Receive stock coming from the main warehouse to the online office, check it against the transfer list, and update Shopify.
• Send stock back to stores or the warehouse when asked, with proper paperwork.
• Do a weekly 50-item stock count and fix mismatches between Shopify and the shelf.

Reporting

• Send a short report every Monday on WhatsApp: orders shipped, same-day dispatch %, RTO %, pending pickups, stock mismatches.

Who we are looking for

• At least 1 year of hands-on work on Shopify (order processing, fulfilment, inventory). Non-negotiable. Experience with a courier aggregator such as Shiprocket, Delhivery, NimbusPost, Shipway or similar.
• 1 to 4 years in e-commerce operations or logistics; D2C fashion or apparel a big plus. Comfortable with Excel or Google Sheets (filters, simple formulas).
• Lives within about 45 minutes of the office.

How we will measure you

• Same-day dispatch 95% or more, RTO rate down 20% in 3 months, 100% of COD orders confirmed, RTOs restocked within 48 hours, 99% stock match.

Interview test (30 minutes)

• Show them the Shopify admin and ask them to
• (1) find and fulfil a test order,
• (2) explain how they would cut RTO on COD orders,
• (3) read a courier invoice and spot an overcharge. Anyone who claims a year of Shopify will do part 1 easily.
