The Duty Manager (DM) is responsible for leading security operations, managing multiple security teams, and ensuring seamless day-to-day operations at the client site. The role requires strong leadership, operational excellence, effective stakeholder management, and the ability to respond efficiently to incidents while maintaining compliance with company policies and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise multiple teams of Security Officers and Supervisors.
- Ensure daily manpower deployment and verify post assignments.
- Plan schedules, recruitment, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management of security personnel.
- Maintain effective working relationships with the Client, Facility Management, Engineering Team, and Landlord for smooth operations.
- Conduct regular inspections of security operations, documentation, and compliance processes.
- Attend operational meetings with client representatives and internal stakeholders.
- Plan and coordinate security arrangements for special events and VIP movements.
- Coordinate emergency response during alarms, incidents, and crisis situations.
- Investigate security incidents, threats, breaches, and prepare detailed incident reports.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports for management.
- Monitor CCTV, access control, surveillance systems, and coordinate preventive maintenance with vendors.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, statutory regulations, and security standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and recommend enhancements to security procedures and operational processes.
- Lead employee engagement, recognition, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in security operations, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of physical security operations, access control systems, CCTV surveillance, and incident management.
- Experience in developing and implementing security policies, SOPs, and operational procedures.
- Sound knowledge of security, safety, and statutory regulations.
- Experience in conducting security audits, risk assessments, and investigations.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity with the ability to handle confidential information.
- Physically fit and capable of responding effectively during emergencies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Fire Safety Management, BLS, or Emergency Response.
- Knowledge of crisis management and business continuity planning.
