Job summary

MAN TRUCK & BUS INDIA PVT. LTD in Pune (Hybrid) is seeking a Drivetrain Design Engineer with 2–4 years of experience.

You will design and develop drivetrain components, including gearbox peripherals, axles, gears and shafts, using CATIA V5 and produce 2D drawings and 3D models. Responsibilities include packaging studies, concept development, design feasibility, and collaboration with cross-functional teams, suppliers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• BE / B.Tech / M.E / M.Tech: Mechanical / Automobile.
• Experience: 2 to 4 years.
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems and components.
• CATIA V5 proficiency for 2D drawings and 3D models.
• Knowledge of GD&T.
• Experience in Casting and Sheetmetal design and manufacturing.
• Willing to travel internationally for business requirements.
• Knowledge of PLM tools like Windchill / Enovia.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop drivetrain components like gearbox peripherals, axle, gear, shaft and associated assemblies.

Design and develop drivetrain components and assemblies, including gearbox peripherals, axles, gears, and shafts, using CATIA V5.
Perform concept development, packaging studies, design feasibility, and support testing activities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers for engineering changes, product releases, and documentation.
Ensure designs meet GD&T, manufacturing, quality, and product development requirements.

To ensure that you will-

• Design and develop drivetrain components like gearbox peripherals, axle, gear, shaft and associated assemblies.
• Create 2D drawings and 3D models in CATIA V5.

• Good understanding GD&T geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
• Proficiency in MS Tools SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of Product development Life Cycle.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to travel internationally for business requirements.
• Basic understanding of AI tools.
