Job summary

Tata AutoComp Systems Limited in Pune, India, is seeking an experienced mechanical engineer to create and modify 3D CATIA V5 models and 2D drawings for plastic components, from concept to release, aligning with customer and project requirements.

The ideal candidate has 4–5 years of CATIA Plastic Design/Engineering, hands-on CATIA V5 in Part Design, Assembly, and Drafting, and a strong understanding of injection molding, GD&T, and manufacturing processes; immediate joiners preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires Diploma/B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 4–5 years of CATIA Plastic Design/Engineering experience.
• Hands-on CATIA V5 experience in Part Design, Assembly and Drafting.
• Mandatory experience in plastics industry; knowledge of injection molding and manufacturing processes.

• Participate in design reviews and implement corrective actions as required.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• Diploma/B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline.
• 4-5 years of experience in CATIA Plastic Design/Engineering.
• Strong hands‑on experience in CATIA V5 (Part Design, Assembly, Drafting).
• Mandatory experience in the Plastics Industry.
• Good understanding of plastic component design, injection molding, and manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of GD&T, engineering drawings, and design standards.
• Experience in automotive interior/exterior plastic components will be preferred.
• Good communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Immediate joiners or candidates with short notice period preferred.
