Role Description
The Technical Document Controller manages the critical flow of design and execution data for our projects. This role ensures that site teams, design studios, clients, and vendors always work from the latest, approved drawings and timelines. By bridging the gap between design documentation and site execution, you will help minimize errors, control material logistics, and ensure on‑time project handover.
Key Requirements & Skills
- Industry Experience: Proven experience working within an Interior Design, Architecture, or Fit‑out Contracting setup.
- Blueprint Literacy: Ability to read and interpret basic architectural, interior, and services (MEP) drawings.
- Meticulous Accuracy: Extreme attention to detail to catch discrepancies between BOQs, vendor quotes, and actual drawings.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with Document Management Systems, MS Excel/Project (or similar scheduling tools), and basic exposure to AutoCAD viewers, ARIBA, Aconex, Wrench, SAP, ERP etc.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Document Management, Documentation, and Project Documentation to ensure accurate creation, organization, and control of project records.
- Experience with Records Management, including classification, retention, archiving, and retrieval of physical and digital documents.
- Effective Communication skills to collaborate with project teams, vendors, and clients and to clarify documentation requirements.
- Proficiency with document control software, shared drives, and MS Office (especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with project management or design tools (e.g., AutoCAD file handling, scheduling platforms, ARIBA, Aconex, Wrench, SAP, ERP etc.) is an advantage.
- Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
- Prior experience as a Document Controller or in a similar administrative/project coordination role, ideally within architecture, interior design, construction, or real estate.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (such as Administration, Information Management, Engineering, or related disciplines) or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work on‑site in Mumbai and collaborate effectively in a fast‑paced, design‑focused environment.
