Job summary

Green Leaf Consultants Kolkata is seeking a communications leader to shape and execute customer-facing messaging across channels in Mumbai. You will ensure clarity, consistency and brand alignment while coordinating with Operations, Claims, Marketing and BI to deliver timely outputs.

You will mentor associates, manage timelines, handle escalations and drive innovative content initiatives that boost customer experience and business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in corporate communications or marketing communications
• Strong command of written English with ability to translate complex requirements into clear messaging
• Proven track record in governance, quality control and process improvements
• Ability to lead, mentor and manage stakeholder expectations
• Excellent collaboration with cross-functional teams across Operations, Claims, Marketing, BI

• Lead special communication initiatives and campaigns to improve customer experience

Communication Strategy & Execution

• Lead the development of crisp, impactful and customerfriendly communication across Email, SMS, WhatsApp, Letters and more.
• Review and refine team outputs to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with brand voice and regulatory requirements.
• Translate complex business requirements into clear messaging that enhances customer understanding and reduces queries

Quality Control & Governance

• Oversee proofreading, template version control and communication approvals.
• Ensure communication adheres to audit standards, compliance guidelines and internal SOPs.
• Drive process improvements to minimize errors, streamline workflows and enhance quality.

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Partner closely with crossfunctional teams (Operations, Claims, Persistency, Marketing, BI, etc.) to understand requirements and deliver timely, relevant communication.
• Coordinate with creative agencies and vendors to ensure high-quality, on-brand outputs.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Mentor and guide the Associate Manager / Executives in the team, ensuring strong performance and skill development.
• Manage workloads, prioritize deliverables, track progress and ensure adherence to timelines.
• Independently handle escalations, challenging communication requests and audit observations.

Innovation & Content Enhancement

• Introduce communication best practices, modern writing styles and customer-centric improvements.
• Audit existing communication journeys, identify gaps and propose strategic enhancements.
• Lead special communication initiatives and thematic campaigns that improve customer experience and business outcomes.
