Job summary

TP is seeking a Director of Global AI Development in India to lead AI initiatives across TP genAI, Internal AI, and R&D. You will shape strategy, steer deployment, and align AI efforts with business goals while guiding cross‑functional teams and governance practices.

You will drive innovation, manage budgets, evaluate new technologies, and ensure responsible AI across production. This role demands 10+ years in AI with leadership experience and strong cloud/Data expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field; Master’s/PhD preferred.
• 10+ years in AI development with 5+ years in leadership; proven AI delivery track record.
• AI/machine learning certifications are highly desirable.
• Proficiency in Python and AI frameworks; cloud experience with AWS/Azure.
• Strong ML/NLP/CV knowledge; ability to operationalize Responsible AI.
• Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing budgets.

• Manage vendor/partner ecosystem for LLMs, tools, and integrators with due diligence.

The Opportunity

The Director of Global AI Development is responsible for leading and overseeing all artificial intelligence (AI) development initiatives within Teleperformance Group. This pivotal role involves managing three distinct AI development clusters: TP genAI, focused on integrating AI within operations; Internal AI, dedicated to operational support across HR, IT, and finance functions; and Research and Development (R&D) aimed at exploring cutting-edge AI advancements.

The Responsibilities

• Lead and strategize the development of AI solutions across TP genAI, Internal AI, and R&D clusters, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
• Drive innovation by identifying opportunities for AI implementation to enhance operational efficiency, customer experience, and business outcomes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into AI development priorities.
• Oversee the design, development, testing, and deployment of AI applications, ensuring quality and scalability.
• Manage the AI development lifecycle, including resource allocation, timelines, and budgetary considerations.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and trends, making recommendations for adoption or integration into existing systems.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to AI development teams, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Act as a subject matter expert on AI technologies and methodologies, providing guidance and insights to stakeholders at all levels.
• Own the AI Governance framework policies, controls, reviews and align with the AI Management System.
• Establish a stage gate for AI initiatives ideation to pilot to scale with ROI, risk, security, and compliance checks.
• Manage the vendor and partner ecosystem LLM providers, tooling, integrators including due diligence and cost and performance benchmarks.

The Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field. Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in AI development, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role. Proven track record of successfully delivering AI solutions.
• Certification in AI, machine learning, or related technologies is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in AI development frameworks and programming languages (e.g., Python).
• Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, natural language processing, computer vision, and other AI techniques.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and big data technologies.
• Experience operationalizing Responsible AI fairness, privacy, safety, transparency in production.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proven track record of leading and motivating cross-functional teams.
• Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
