Job summary

Pidge is seeking an experienced Director – Operations to lead and scale the Big Vehicle Business. The role owns end-to-end operational performance, with a focus on network expansion, fleet productivity, and service excellence to deliver customer fulfillment at scale.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years in transportation or logistics, with proven ability to build scalable processes, manage large teams, and drive measurable business outcomes across fleet economics and network operations.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, fleet management or related businesses.
• Experience managing large-scale vehicle/fleet operations, preferably Big Vehicle/B2B.
• Strong understanding of fleet economics, vehicle utilization, pricing, capacity planning, and network operations.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end operations of the Big Vehicle business, including fleet, fulfillment, and service delivery.
• Drive capacity planning, vehicle utilization, fleet productivity, and turnaround time across the network.
• Build and scale a fleet partner/transporter ecosystem for reliable vehicle availability.
• Lead operational performance across customer fulfillment, allocation, dispatch, trip execution, and delivery.
• Develop strategies to improve revenue, contribution margins, utilization, and operational efficiency.
• Establish and monitor key operational metrics such as vehicle utilization, fulfillment rate, TAT, cancellations, cost per trip, and SLA adherence.
• Partner with Sales, Revenue, Product, Technology, Finance, and Customer Success to align ops with business objectives.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in commercial vehicle / transportation / fleet / logistics operations, with a proven ability to build scalable processes, manage large operational teams, and deliver measurable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end operations of the Big Vehicle business, including fleet, fulfillment, and service delivery.
• Drive capacity planning, vehicle utilization, fleet productivity, and turnaround time across the network.
• Build and scale a strong fleet partner / transporter ecosystem to ensure reliable vehicle availability.
• Lead operational performance across customer fulfillment, allocation, dispatch, trip execution, and delivery.
• Develop strategies to improve revenue, contribution margins, utilization, and operational efficiency.
• Establish and monitor key operational metrics such as vehicle utilization, fulfillment rate, TAT, cancellations, turnaround time, cost per trip, and customer SLA adherence.

What We’re Looking For
