crewlia is seeking a data-informed Director of Trust & Safety to join our fully remote global team. You will shape operations, drive strategic initiatives, and deliver results within your area, blending big-picture strategy with hands-on execution.

You will lead a distributed team, collaborate with executives, and manage budgets while prioritizing continuous learning and data-driven improvements.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of progressive success in trust and safety or related functions.
• Strong leadership and budget management experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to de-escalate customers.
• Experience with helpdesk/CRM systems.
• Experience leading globally distributed teams.

In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in shaping our operations, driving strategic initiatives, and delivering exceptional results within your functional area. The ideal candidate will combine big-picture strategic thinking with hands-on, tactical execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather, synthesize, and act upon critical client feedback to improve processes.
• Manage complex departmental budgets, strategic forecasting, and resource allocation.
• Lead, mentor, and structurally scale a high-performing, globally distributed team.
• Collaborate directly with executive leadership to drive core company milestones.
• Analyze operational workflows to identify bottlenecks and implement scalable solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Exceptional written, verbal, and asynchronous communication capabilities.
• Excellent de-escalation, problem-solving, and customer relationship management skills.
• High-level proficiency with industry-standard project management software (Asana, Jira, Monday).
• Strong working knowledge of helpdesk, ticketing, or CRM software.
• 8-10+ years of demonstrated, progressive success in a relevant functional role.
