Our client is looking for a visionary leader, strategic thinker, and demonstrated team-builder. As a Director of Engineering, you will be responsible for overseeing the development of new software products, managing enhancements to existing products, and leading multiple engineering teams. You should excel in working with large-scale applications and frameworks, and have outstanding communication, strategic planning, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple engineering teams to deliver high-quality software solutions
• Oversee the development and implementation of software applications, database integration, interfaces, and new functionality enhancements
• Develop and implement engineering strategies, policies, and procedures to achieve business objectives and compliance standards
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and other departments to ensure projects meet business goals and user needs
• Ensure the continuous improvement of engineering processes, tools, and practices
• Support the testing and deployment of new products and features
• Conduct regular code reviews and provide mentorship to engineering teams
• Manage and optimize engineering budgets and resources

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related field); Master’s degree preferred
• 8+ years of relevant work experience, with at least 4 years in a people management role
• Proven expertise in Object-Oriented Design and Database Design
• Extensive experience with Agile or Scrum software development methodologies
• Strong ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
• Expert in Java, React, or Node
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
• Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and lead strategic initiatives
