Job summary

Epiroc Mining India in Bengaluru is seeking a Dimensional Engineer with strong expertise in GD&T and DFMEA to drive design for manufacturability across automotive-focused projects.

The role involves conducting DFMEA studies, performing stackup/dimensional analyses, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve tolerancing and assembly challenges, ensuring manufacturability of complex parts.

Qualifications

• 5-9 years of experience in Dimensional Engineering or a related field (Automotive industry preferred).
• B.Tech / B.E. degree in Automobile Engineering.
• Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning And Tolerancing (Gd&T), Design For Manufacturability (DFM), Process Engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Conduct DFMEA studies for manufacturing processes to identify potential failures and implement corrective actions.
• Perform static analysis on 3D models using GD&T principles to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Analyze dimensional variations between designs, assemblies, and finished products through stackup analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve design issues related to tolerances, fit-finish, form-fit-function, and assembly clearance.
