Job summary

Synapse Business Systems in Surat is seeking a Diamond Grader/Gemologist to assess polished diamonds against the 4Cs, using grading software and SOPs to ensure accurate evaluation.

The role requires lab experience or senior industry background, ability to finalize clarity, polish and symmetry, and willingness to work rotational shifts on-site. Knowledge of diamond inclusion plotting and GIA lab exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a diamond grader in a laboratory
• Or 5+ years in diamond grading in manufacturing companies
• Complete knowledge of the 4Cs (Cut, Carat Weight, Color, and Clarity)
• Diamond grading course from a renowned laboratory
• Able to finalize clarity, polish, and symmetry independently
• Diamond inclusion plotting experience
• GIA Lab work experience will be an advantage
• Educational Qualifications: Minimum HSC
• Basic computer knowledge

Responsibilities

• Accurately assess polished diamonds based on industry grading standards, including evaluating the 4Cs and assessing the diamond's overall characteristics.
• Utilize diamond grading software and equipment to evaluate and measure diamonds.
• Follow the company’s SOPs for diamond grading and ensure compliance with industry guidelines to maintain consistency and accuracy in diamond assessment.
• Participate in quality control measures to ensure accuracy and precision in diamond grading. Work with the QA team to identify and rectify any issues or discrepancies in the grading process.
• Stay updated with industry trends, techniques, and developments in diamond grading.
• Work closely with diamond graders, gemologists, and other professionals within the company to exchange knowledge and maintain consistency in grading standards.

Reporting To: Team Leader Gemologist

Work Schedule: Rotational shifts

Salary Deduction: (10% retention bonus will be deducted and will be paid only after completion of 2years with 10% your original +5% bonus= 15%)
