Job summary

Tata Motors Global Services Limited in Pune, India, seeks a seasoned ethics and compliance professional to lead the design and implementation of a comprehensive framework across code of conduct, anti-bribery, export controls, and regulatory compliance.

The role requires coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, conducting risk reviews, training stakeholders, and ensuring tools and governance meetings are effectively carried out to drive a culture of compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive ethics and compliance framework covering code of conduct, anti-bribery/anti-corruption/anti-trust controls, export controls, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to assess risk, review processes and controls, identify gaps, and integrate gaps into the framework.
• Conduct periodic reviews of compliance areas to ensure effectiveness and identify improvement needs.
• Drive a culture of compliance through trainings and awareness for diverse stakeholders.
• Provide periodic progress updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Oversee the legal compliance tool usage, map site requirements, upload updates, and ensure alignment with regulatory changes.
• Stay updated on legal and regulatory changes from ministries and regulatory bodies, circulate updates, and ensure implementation.
• Train users on the tool, particularly new users.
• Monitor compliance across plants, depots, warehouses, and offices, ensuring timely actions and corrective measures.
• Ensure monthly governance meetings are scheduled and minutes recorded.
• Conduct periodic reviews and audits to ensure adherence to laws.
• Provide need-based support to Ethics and Legal teams for investigations, trainings, awareness, litigations, and contract reviews.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

Building Ethics and Compliance framework:

Work towards building a comprehensive ethics and compliance framework for the organization covering various aspects like code of conduct compliance, anti-bribery / anti-corruption / anti-trust controls, export controls, regulatory compliance, etc.

This will require interactions with various internal and external stakeholders for carrying out risk assessment, understanding the existing processes / controls, identifying gaps, work on bridging the gaps and integrating it in the overall ethics and compliance framework.

Role will involve conducting periodic review of compliance areas to ensure effectiveness of the existing controls and identify needs for improvement if any.

Work on driving the culture of compliance through focused trainings / awareness for different stakeholders on various topics.

Role will also require providing periodic progress updates to relevant stakeholders.

Legal compliance tool

Oversee the implementation and usage of the compliance tool to track legal obligations across plants, offices and other sites. Manage and enhance the digital compliance reporting tool, including uploading legal updates, mapping site-specific requirements, and ensuring tool alignment with regulatory changes.

Stay updated on legal and regulatory changes that impact the organization. Track and interpret legal and regulatory updates from ministries, labour departments, CPCBs/SPCBs, etc.; ensure circulation of applicable updates to relevant stakeholders and ensure their implementation.

Ensure training of the tool to all the users as necessary, particularly for new users.

Monitor compliance across manufacturing plants, depots, warehouses, and sales & marketing offices, ensuring timely actions and corrective measures wherever required.

Ensuring with the support of respective compliance teams that monthly governance meetings are scheduled as per SOP and their minutes are recorded.

Conduct periodic reviews / audits to ensure adherence to laws.

Role will involve providing need based support to Ethics and Legal team for investigations, trainings, awareness, litigations, contract reviews, etc.
