Job summary

UST is seeking an IT Support Technician in Kerala to assist end-users with Windows 11, macOS and Linux issues, install hardware, and perform moves, adds and changes for endpoints. You will review and close ServiceNow tickets and coordinate vendor repairs for Dell/HP devices and printers.

A degree or coursework in computer studies or information technology is required. Strong communication, multitasking, and knowledge of AD, DNS, DHCP, MECM, Intune, Office 365, and basic networking are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree or coursework in computer studies or information technology.
• Good telephone and interpersonal skills is a must.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware OS problems on endpoints.
• Exposure to Windows OS Mac OS Linux; in depth knowledge of Windows10 11 and Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to install hardware components peripherals on OEM laptops desktops in a business environment.
• General knowledge of AD, DNS and DHCP, as well as how to create file share structures and network computers together into a companywide domain.
• Have an understanding of networking concepts and practice.
• Awareness of MECM deployment and OS imaging, including capture and deployment.
• Experience with Dell/HP desktops and laptops, printers, and mobile devices such as iPhones.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing, resolving and closing tickets in the ServiceNow queue.
• Arrange for repairs by vendors OEM and external repair facilities as necessary.
• Performing moves, adds and changes of software and hardware for all endpoints.
• Diagnose, resolve and follow through on computer malfunction.
• Installation/troubleshooting software in systems and equipment problems or malfunctions.
• Identifying causes and recommending solutions.
• Mentoring and training of co-workers at all levels of competence.
