Job summary

Sciencebydesign Labsystems seeks a seasoned MEP Design Lead to head end-to-end design activities for R&D laboratory projects. You will coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely, high-quality deliveries and robust design documentation.

You will oversee design management processes, guide a multi-disciplinary team, review drawings, equipment sizing, and Tender deliverables while maintaining ISO-compliant QA practices.

Qualifications

• Experience leading end-to-end MEP design for laboratories or similar facilities.
• Strong coordination with internal/external stakeholders.
• Knowledge of design management plans and ISO quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, lead, and control MEP design work and the team
• Review KRAs and monitor daily progress with the team
• Provide training to the team as required
• Resolve design issues and ensure timely delivery
• Manage MEP designs including inputs, coordination, deliverables to meet time, cost, quality
• Review multi-view as-built HVAC drawings (AutoCAD & REVIT-MEP)
• Review MEP equipment selection and sizing
• Review MEP layouts and complete Tender
• Prepare and implement inspection, testing procedures and quality assurance plans
• Maintain documents for future reference and auditing per ISO standards

Responsible for leading and managing end-to-end MEP design activities for R&D laboratory projects, ensuring timely delivery, technical excellence, and seamless coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Operational

• 1. Plan, manage, lead, control MEP design work and the team
• 2. Reviewing KRA

• 5. Provide resolution of design issues
• 6. Manage the MEP design including all inputs, coordination and deliverables to achieve the time, cost, and quality objectives
• 7. Reviewing the multi-view as-built drawings of HVAC systems using AutoCAD & REVIT-MEP
• 8. Reviewing MEP equipment selection and sizing.
• 9. Reviewing MEP layouts and complete Tender.
• 10. Preparing and implementing inspection, testing procedures and quality assurance plan to check self & team output; ensuring adherence to the pre-set quality standards in order to deliver error-free output and maintaining relevant documents for future reference; preparing design documents for auditing as per ISO standards.

• 1. Visiting Site for Due Diligence reports as per the companys policy.
• 2. Thumb rule calculation for MEP services.
