Responsibilities

Job description

We are looking for an experienced and design-driven Interior Designer to join our corporate interior design consultancy. This is a senior individual-contributor role for a professional who can independently lead design projects end-to-end, mentor junior designers, and represent the studio confidently in front of clients and external stakeholders while working closely with the Team/Project Head on strategic design direction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Independently understand project briefs, formulate design concepts and decisions, and present them for discussion with the Team / Project Head and clients.
• Lead the preparation and development of drawings, 3D models, renders, material and mood boards, and other design documentation, guiding the internal design team through execution.
• Take ownership of design development and project delivery across key project stages, in coordination with the Senior Designer, Team Head, or Partner-in-charge.
• Mentor and support junior and mid-level designers; proactively resolve design and coordination issues within the project team.
• Coordinate the internal design team and integrate design requirements with architecture, execution, and other departments.
• Liaise confidently with external design consultants, vendors, contractors, and associated organisations.
• Review drawings and project submittals for design standards, detailing, and quality compliance.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritising tasks and timelines efficiently under deadline pressure.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing regular updates and gathering feedback.
• Use a variety of media and current design software in project development and documentation.

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, 3Ds Max, SketchUp 3D, and Photoshop; familiarity with V-Ray or similar rendering tools preferred.
• Proven ability to lead design projects independently, from concept through execution.
• Strong client-facing and presentation skills, with the confidence to represent the studio externally.
• Excellent interpersonal and team-leadership skills; able to guide junior designers while collaborating across departments.
• Sharp attention to detail and a strong eye for material, colour, and spatial design.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Sound understanding of project execution, vendor coordination, and site processes.
