Job summary

Difacto Robotics And Automation in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced professional with 15+ years in automotive/automation projects. You will lead concept development, perform critical engineering calculations, and interpret CAD drawings and manufacturing methods.

The role requires hands-on SolidWorks, strong communication, and the ability to oversee team output and PMS activities. Independent project handling and supplier/component selection are essential.

Responsibilities

• Concept building (SPM/Automotive), hands-on SolidWorks
• Perform basic engineering calculations (Weight, Centre of Gravity, Strength of Materials)
• Interpret engineering drawings and CAD/manufacturing methods
• Understand GD&T and manufacturing knowledge
• Ensure team work is checked before submission (technical proposals, DAP documents, PRs)
• Lead regular weekly team meetings and communicate goals and learnings
• HR management of team: recruitment, training, mentoring, disciplinary issues
• Conduct performance feedback discussions and PMS activities
• Procurement initiation for equipment, software, tools per business plan
• Communicate team issues to Department Manager
• Guide team to prepare IRCs (Incident Reporting and Countermeasures)
• Independent project handling capability
• Identify and select standard mechanical, electrical and pneumatic elements

Role & responsibilities

• Concept building(SPM/Automotive), Solid works Hands on experience
• Strong in basic engineering calculations such as calculating Weight, Centre of Gravity, Basic Strength of Material Calculations etc.
• Must be able to demonstrate and understand engineering drawings, CAD and manufacturing methods/Process are must
• Knowledge of GD&T, Manufacturing Knowledge
• Should have a good communication skill
• Check the work of the team before submission - technical proposals, DAP documents, PRs, etc
• Conduct regular Weekly Team meetings and communicate team goals and lessons learnt, company updates (News, Financial performance, change in policies, announcements, etc)
• HR Management of Team members - recruitment as per Business Plan, Training, Mentoring, managing disciplinary issues through counselling
• Regular 1-on-1 Performance Feedback discussions with Team members, including 1st round of Annual PMS activity (Performance Management System)
• Initiate procurement of equipment, software, tools as per Business Plan
• Communicate team issues to Department Manager
• Guide Team members to correctly prepare IRCs (Incident Reporting and Countermeasures)

Preferred candidate profile

• At least 15 years hands-on experience in a Automotive / Automation Projects
• Capable of Handling a project independently.
• Proven experience in identifying and selecting Standard Mechanical, Electrical and Pneumatic elements
