Job summary

Zcespl in Ahmedabad (India) seeks an experienced HVAC design engineer to design HVAC and cleanroom systems for pharmaceutical, industrial and commercial projects. You will develop MEP drawings, perform load calculations and ensure design coordination with other disciplines.

Candidate should hold a BE Mechanical with 5+ years of relevant experience and be adept at reviewing shop drawings and technical submissions from contractors and vendors. This role is on site.

Qualifications

• BE Mechanical degree required.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in HVAC design.
• Experience with MEP coordination and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC and cleanroom systems for pharma, industrial and commercial projects.
• Prepare and review HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and other MEP designs.
• Develop detailed engineering drawings, layouts, schematics and documentation.
• Perform calculations, equipment selection, load calculations and sizing.
• Review coordination with architectural/structural drawings for MEP clashes.
• Provide technical support during construction, testing, commissioning and handover.

Job description

Design HVAC and cleanroom systems for pharmaceutical, industrial and commercial projects.

• Design and develop MEP systems based on project requirements, applicable codes, and design standards.
• Prepare and review HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and other MEP engineering designs.
• Develop detailed engineering drawings, layouts, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Perform engineering calculations, equipment selection, load calculations, and system sizing.
• Review architectural, structural, and other discipline drawings to ensure effective MEP coordination.
• Coordinate with project teams, consultants, clients, and site engineers to resolve design and technical issues.
• Conduct design reviews and identify potential clashes, constructability issues, and optimization opportunities.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable national and international standards and project specifications.
• Prepare BOQs, equipment schedules, technical specifications, and material submittals.
• Review shop drawings and technical submissions from contractors and vendors.
• Provide technical support during construction, testing, commissioning, and project handover.
• Support value engineering and cost-effective MEP design solutions.
