Job summary

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) invites engineers for design/engineering and CAD drafting work on industrial machinery, including pulverisers and vertical mills. You will review tender documents, interpret drawings, and coordinate with suppliers to resolve technical issues on site.

The role demands understanding of gearboxes, drives, hydraulics and related mechanical items, with hands-on problem solving across manufacturing and project sites.

Qualifications

• Experience in design/engineering and material selection for industrial machinery.
• Ability to prepare and review 2D drawings and generate drawings from 3D models using CAD.
• Familiarity with tender and contract documents for thermal power plant projects.
• Understanding machinery functionality and interpretation of drawings/specifications.
• Engagement with vendors for technical discussions in coordination with SCM.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical problems raised by manufacturing, vendors and project sites.

• 1. Design/Engineering, Material selection & Manufacturing processes of Industrial machineries(PreferablyPulverisers/ Vertical Mill manufacturing).
• 2.Prepare and review 2D Drawings, 3D Models and Generation of 2D Drawings from 3D Models using CADsoftwares like Autocad/ Solid Edge.
• 3.Review and understand Tender & Contract document of Thermal power plant.
• 4.Understand working /functioning of Machinery & Equipment.
• 5.Understand and interpret Drawings & Specifications.
• 6.Review and comment Project specific documents for Gearbox & Drives, Bearings, Seals, Hydraulics, Pneumatics,Pumps, Mechanical items etc.
• 7.Interact with vendors for various Technical discussions in coordination with SCM.
• 8.Trouble shooting and providing solutions to technical problems raised by Manufacturing, Vendors and Projectsites.
