Job summary

Sarthee Consultancy is seeking a senior Mechanical Designer to lead new development projects in a manufacturing setting. You will work with SolidWorks and AutoCAD to create 2D/3D drawings, select gear boxes, and design pneumatic circuits.

You will prepare BOMs and GA layouts while coordinating with other departments to resolve design issues. The role requires 6–8 years of hands-on mechanical design experience, knowledge of textile or paper machinery is a plus, and familiarity with ERP systems

Qualifications

• 6–8 years hands-on mechanical design experience.
• Experience with CAD platforms SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of pneumatic circuits and components.
• Experience in value engineering and cost reduction.

Responsibilities

• New Development and Value Engineering Project.
• Gear box selection.
• Knowledge of Pneumatic circuit and selection of parts.
• Software experience - AutoCAD and Solid works 2D /3D.
• Preparation of G.A. Drawings & proposed inquiry layouts.
• Preparation of Bills of material (BOM)
• Experience of design related work with ERP Systems.
• DCN Drawing change Note.
• Retrofit / Spare order activity.
• Preparation of 2D & 3D Isometric Drawings.
• Interaction with other department for design related issues.

Qualifications

Education: B.E. (Mechanical)

Experience

• Minimum 6 to 8 years of hands on experience in mechanical design (Working on CAD Platform (Solid Works, Autocad) activities in Machine Manufacturing preferably (Textile / Paper.))
• Create Concept to Design
• Project Costing and Estimation
• Basic Knowledge of Textile Technology / Processes
• Knowledge of Mechanical Design Calculations
• Knowledge of Pneumatic Circuit Design
• Bought out material selection and technical support to CFT
• Close monitoring for prototype development.
