Job summary

Sarthee Consultancy is seeking a seasoned Mechanical Design engineer to drive development and value engineering for manufacturing equipment. You will work on CAD platforms, create GA drawings, and prepare BOMs for inquiries and projects while coordinating with multiple departments to optimize performance and cost.

The role requires 6–8 years of hands-on experience in mechanical design, preferably with textile or paper machinery, and strong knowledge of pneumatics, EC/ERP workflows, and 2D/3D

Qualifications

• B.E. in Mechanical engineering and hands-on design experience.
• 6–8 years in mechanical design, CAD-centric with manufacturing exposure.
• Proficient in CAD tools: SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Experience in machine manufacturing, textile or paper favored.
• Knowledge of pneumatic circuits and BOM handling.
• ERP system experience and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead new development and value engineering projects for designs.
• Select gear boxes and pneumatic components as needed.
• Develop GA drawings and inquiry layouts for components.
• Prepare 2D/3D isometric drawings and BOMs.
• Support prototype builds and cost estimation activities.
• Coordinate with other departments on design issues.
• Assure design changes via DCN notes and documentation.

Responsibilities

• New Development and Value Engineering Project.
• Gear box selection.
• Knowledge of Pneumatic circuit and selection of parts.
• Software experience - AutoCAD and Solid works 2D /3D.
• Preparation of G.A. Drawings & proposed inquiry layouts.
• Preparation of Bills of material (BOM)
• Experience of design related work with ERP Systems.
• DCN Drawing change Note.
• Retrofit / Spare order activity.
• Preparation of 2D & 3D Isometric Drawings.
• Interaction with other department for design related issues.

Qualifications

Education: B.E. (Mechanical)

Experience

• Minimum 6 to 8 years of hands on experience in mechanical design (Working on CAD Platform (Solid Works, Autocad) activities in Machine Manufacturing preferably (Textile / Paper.))
