Job summary

Sarthee Consultancy is seeking a senior mechanical design engineer with 6–8 years of hands-on experience in machine manufacturing, preferably Textile/Paper. The role focuses on new development, value engineering, gear box selection, and pneumatic circuits, with strong CAD capabilities in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.

You will prepare GA drawings, BOMs, and 2D/3D isometrics, while collaborating with ERP systems and other departments to ensure accurate design outcomes.

Qualifications

• B.E. in Mechanical engineering is required.
• Hands-on mechanical design experience in machine manufacturing (Textile/Paper preferred).
• Experience from concept to design and BOM support.

Responsibilities

• New development and value engineering projects.
• Gear box selection and pneumatic circuit component selection.
• Prepare GA drawings and proposed inquiry layouts; prepare BOMs.
• Work with ERP systems on design related activities and DCN drawings.
• Isometric 2D/3D drawings preparation and prototype monitoring.
• Coordinate with other departments to resolve design issues.

Responsibilities

• New Development and Value Engineering Project.
• Gear box selection.
• Knowledge of Pneumatic circuit and selection of parts.
• Software experience - AutoCAD and Solid works 2D /3D.
• Preparation of G.A. Drawings & proposed inquiry layouts.
• Preparation of Bills of material (BOM)
• Experience of design related work with ERP Systems.
• DCN Drawing change Note.
• Retrofit / Spare order activity.
• Preparation of 2D & 3D Isometric Drawings.
• Interaction with other department for design related issues.

Qualifications

Education: B.E. (Mechanical)

Experience

• Minimum 6 to 8 years of hands on experience in mechanical design (Working on CAD Platform (Solid Works, Autocad) activities in Machine Manufacturing preferably (Textile / Paper.))
• Create Concept to Design
