Job summary

Sarthee Consultancy in Surat is seeking an experienced mechanical design engineer to drive new development and value engineering initiatives in a manufacturing setting. The role requires selecting gear boxes, designing Pneumatic circuits and parts, and preparing GA drawings and BOMs for inquiries.

Responsibilities include 2D and 3D isometric drawings, documentation, and close collaboration with other departments to resolve design issues.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6–8 years hands-on mechanical design experience.
• Working on CAD platforms SolidWorks and AutoCAD for machine manufacturing.
• Knowledge of textile/paper manufacturing processes is preferred.
• Exposure to cost estimation and value engineering activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead new development and value engineering projects for design improvements.
• Select gear boxes and design Pneumatic circuits and parts.
• Prepare GA drawings, BOMs, and inquiry layouts.
• Create 2D & 3D isometric drawings and coordinate with other departments.

Responsibilities

• New Development and Value Engineering Project.
• Gear box selection.
• Knowledge of Pneumatic circuit and selection of parts.
• Software experience - AutoCAD and Solid works 2D /3D.
• Preparation of G.A. Drawings & proposed inquiry layouts.
• Preparation of Bills of material (BOM)
• Experience of design related work with ERP Systems.
• DCN Drawing change Note.
• Retrofit / Spare order activity.
• Preparation of 2D & 3D Isometric Drawings.
• Interaction with other department for design related issues.

Qualifications

Education: B.E. (Mechanical)

Experience

• Minimum 6 to 8 years of hands on experience in mechanical design (Working on CAD Platform (Solid Works, Autocad) activities in Machine Manufacturing preferably (Textile / Paper.))
• Create Concept to Design
• Project Costing and Estimation
• Basic Knowledge of Textile Technology / Processes
• Knowledge of Mechanical Design Calculations
• Knowledge of Pneumatic Circuit Design
• Bought out material selection and technical support to CFT
• Close monitoring for prototype development.
• Study and compare machine performances with different competitors.
