Job summary

Wisecor in Chennai, India, seeks an experienced Senior Design Engineer – HVAC to lead design and detailing for HVAC systems on diverse projects. You will develop design basis, perform heat load calculations, and create flow diagrams and P&IDs to meet project requirements.

The role emphasizes equipment sizing, duct layout, technical specifications, and vendor bid evaluation, with a focus on quality, compliance, and timely delivery. Immediate joining preferred.

Qualifications

• 6-12 years of experience in HVAC design, detail engineering, and project execution.
• Proficiency in HVAC system design, ductwork planning, P&IDs, and heat load calculations.
• Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, technical specifications, and vendor evaluation.
• Experience in reviewing HVAC vendor documents and drawings.
• Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in HVAC engineering.

Responsibilities

• HVAC Design & Engineering: Develop design basis, heat load calculations, flow diagrams, and P&IDs for HVAC systems.
• Equipment Sizing & Selection: Perform sizing for HVAC equipment and components based on project specifications.
• Duct & Layout Design: Prepare detailed equipment layouts, ductwork designs, and BOQ for HVAC systems.
• Technical Specification Development: Draft technical specifications for HVAC equipment and components.
• Bid Evaluation & Vendor Management: Analyze vendor bids, prepare evaluation reports, and recommend suitable vendors.
• Review & Compliance: Review vendor drawings and technical documents to ensure compliance with project requirements.
