Job summary

Thermon is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to lead the design of industrial control panels and heating equipment under supervision of the Lead Designer. The role involves component selection, sizing, certifications, and compliance with updated codes and standards.

Requires BE Electrical and minimum 2 years of experience, with LV/MV switchboard design experience and proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical. The candidate will design, review, and prepare electrical drawings and BOMs, support

Responsibilities

• Design of small to large electrical projects and multiple concurrent projects.
• Interact with customer representatives on technical issues.
• Create and review drawings using Thermon software or methodology; ensure accuracy of drawings.
• Provide technical support to Sales, Production, Purchasing, and Quality departments.
• Review codes/standards and impact on product design; participate in electrical product certification audits.

Position : Electrical Design Engineer

Requirements : 2 Nos

Control Panel designing experience is must.

Should have worked on Auto CAD Electrical.

Design Engineer (Electrical) - Under the supervision of the Lead Designer, the Designer (Engineer) is responsible for performing engineering activities and providing technical support to the design and manufacturing of industrial control panels and heating equipment, including component selection and sizing, managing electrical product certifications, and maintaining product compliance based on updated codes and standards. Candidates with experience in Switchboard Design, Control Panel Design (LV & MV). Candidates with a degree in Electrical Engineering and minimum 2 years of experience can apply.

Job Profile:

• Design of small to large projects or several small projects simultaneously
• Interaction with customer (internal or external) representative on technical issues
• Create and review drawings using proprietary Thermon software or methodology
• Prepare and review drawings for accuracy
• Check and approve drawings prepared by other designers
• Review technical specifications; prepare, review, and approve engineering drawings, bills of
  materials, and other engineering documentation.
• Provide technical support to Sales, Production, Purchasing, and Quality departments.
• Review updated codes and standards and assess the impact on existing product design.
• Participate in audits pertaining to electrical product certifications.
• Providing technical support to clients, including field commissioning.
• Ensure a safe workplace, including compliance with established safety laws, regulations, codes,
  policies, and procedures.

Computer literate:

Advanced MS Office, AutoCAD Electrical skills.

• Working knowledge of CSA C22.2 No.14 and UL508A.
• Familiar with CSA C22.1 and NFPA 70.
• Familiar with AutoCAD Electrical.
• Working knowledge of hazardous location certifications and standards, including CSA C22.2 No.30, UL/EN/IEC 60079-0 and 60079-1.
• Familiar with ATEX and IECEx hazardous location electrical equipment certification and product requirements.
• General knowledge with low voltage power control equipment, including step controller and SCR.
• PLC programming experiences, particularly Automatic Direct and Alley Bradley Micro 800 series PLC, is an asset.
• Ability and desire to learn with a positive attitude, experiences and examples of supervisors.
