Job summary

TVS Motor is seeking engineers to conceptualize and develop motorcycle chassis and structural components that balance performance, safety, manufacturability, and aesthetics. You will work with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and deliver exceptional riding experiences.

Responsibilities include designing frames and subframes in Creo, applying GD&T, selecting suitable materials, and performing basic structural analyses to validate performance.

Qualifications

• Experience designing motorcycle chassis and structural components.
• Ability to develop 3D CAD models and 2D drawings.
• Familiarity with manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Knowledge of GD&T principles.
• Experience with suspension and braking systems.

Responsibilities

• Understand and calculate loads acting on chassis and structural parts.
• Develop 3D CAD models and detailed 2D drawings for frames, subframes, swingarms and related structural components.
• Apply Design for Manufacturing, Design for Assembly, Design for Serviceability and GD&T principles.
• Select materials based on strength, weight, cost and durability requirements.
• Apply working knowledge of chassis systems, including suspension and brakes, with deeper understanding of calipers, discs, master cylinders and combi-brake systems.
• Perform basic structural analyses and simulations to validate design performance.
• Collaborate with powertrain, electrical, prototyping, costing, assembly and manufacturing teams to ensure component integration.
• Maintain comprehensive design-process, decision and specification documentation.
• Use CAD tools, preferably Creo, to create and release robust designs.
• Support design reviews and closure of technical issues through structured problem solving.
