Job summary

Bluewud Concepts is seeking a Design Engineer to design and develop products per Master Specifications using the provided software and systems. The role may require acting as Technical Lead and coordinating the development team, whether in-house or outsourced, to deliver the assigned work.

The candidate will research alternatives, draft 3D and 2D designs, develop prototypes, verify designs with simulations, and assist in marketing visuals using Corel Draw, Photoshop, and 3Ds Max.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant design experience.
• Proficient in 2D and 3D product design.
• Conversant with designing software.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes for product development.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop products per Master Specifications using provided software and systems.
• Act as Technical Lead when needed and coordinate tasks with the development team (in-house or outsourced).
• Research and evaluate alternative solutions; develop system specifications.
• Develop prototypes.
• Design verification/validation using computer simulations.
• Follow prototype through build, test, refine, and release for market launch.
• Support lab/team in prototype development.
• Devise technical design specifications.
• Provide technical support to the team for product and supplier development.
• Deliver projects on time in full (OTIF).
• Continual quality improvement of current products with cost-reduction efforts.
• Knowledge of Corel Draw, Photoshop and 3Ds Max is an advantage for marketing images.

Role & responsibilities

• Design and develop the products as specified in Master Specifications using provided Software/ System.
• Perform as Technical Lead if needed and coordinate tasks and assignments with assigned development team (inhouse or outsourced)
• Researches and evaluates alternative solutions, and recommends the most efficient and cost effective solution for the systems and develops system specification.
• Developing prototypes.
• design verification/Validation using computer simulations
• Follow-up closely till the prototype is build, tested, adapt changes and release for launch in the market.
• Actively support lab/team for prototype development.
• Devise technical design specifications.
• Provide technical support to team for product and supplier development.
• Deliver the project and activities assigned OTIF ( On Time In Full)
• Continuous quality improvement of all current products, combined with cost reduction projects
• Knowledge of Corel draw, Photoshop and 3Ds Max would be added advantage for creating high resolution images for marketing purpose.

Preferred candidate profile

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Conversant with Designing Softwares.
• Should be able to design and draft the product design in 3d and 2d
• Should posses knowledge of manufacturing processes for the development of design and development of product.
