Job summary

Elmex Controls is seeking engineers to design and develop low voltage switchgear products (MCB, RCCB, MCCB, control gear, SPD) per IEC standards. You will handle costing, 3D/2D modeling in Solid Edge, and lead a team to deliver robust designs with strong documentation.

Responsibilities include prototyping, validation, cross-functional coordination, and continuous improvement through cost reduction and value engineering. Strong communication and design fundamentals are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in designing low voltage switchgear per IEC standards.
• Ability to develop and validate prototypes for design reviews.
• Knowledge of design documentation for reviews and approvals.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new products from IEC standards for MCB, RCCB, MCCB, control gear and SPD.
• Perform product costing including raw material, process and investment calculations.
• Create 3D models and 2D drawings using Solid Edge.
• Lead a team to ensure quality and timely output and mentor team members.
• Prepare development documents for design reviews.
• Validate and verify new designs; support prototyping and testing.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time project execution.
• Possess innovation skills such as patent search and design registration awareness.
• Manage customer complaints analysis, value engineering and cost reduction efforts.

Roles and Responsibilities

• New Product Design and development from IEC standards for low voltage switch gear products Like MCB, RCCB, MCCB, Control-gear & SPD etc.
• Product costing including RM, process and investment calculations.
• Making of 3D models and 2D drawings in Solid edge software.
• Team management for ensuring qualitative and quantitative output along-with team member developments
• Making all development related documents for design reviews etc.
• Knowledge of new product validation & verification as well as Good in prototyping development.
• Development and testing of parts and product with cross function teams support as per design requirements.
• Co-ordinate with all cross functional team members to carry out smooth execution of projects in time bound manner.
• Good to have Innovation skill like knowledge of patent search, freedom to operate, design registration etc.
• To manage Customer complains analysis, Value engineering, cost reduction.
