Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Solid Edge and AutoCAD.
• Solid knowledge of 3D modelling, 2D drafting, GD&T, fabrication, sheet metal and machining processes.
• Working understanding of hydraulic systems and piping layouts.
• Good knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Engineering Change Management.

Job Title : Design Engineer

Job Purpose:-
Responsible for the design, product improvement and engineering support of Concrete Line Pumps, Boom Pumps and related construction equipment. The role involves design modifications, resolving production and field issues, cost optimization, new product development and maintaining complete engineering documentation.

Key Responsibilities:-

• Develop and modify 3D models, assemblies and 2D manufacturing drawings using Solid Edge and AutoCAD.
• Design sheet-metal components, structures, assemblies and hydraulic piping/layouts.
• Analyze and resolve production, quality and field-related design issues through root-cause analysis.
• Execute product improvements and engineering change activities based on manufacturing, service and market feedback.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Service, Sourcing and suppliers for design implementation and validation.
• Identify and implement VAVE and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Support new product development, prototype development, testing and productionization.
• Prepare and maintain BOMs, engineering drawings, design calculations, ECRs and technical documentation.
• Ensure designs meet applicable engineering standards, safety requirements and manufacturing practices.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing, suppliers and field/service teams.
• Support resolution of design-related issues at manufacturing locations and during field/service activities.

Required Technical Skills:-

• Strong proficiency in Solid Edge and AutoCAD.
• Sound knowledge of 3D Modelling, 2D Drafting, GD&T, Fabrication, Sheet Metal and Machining Processes.
• Working understanding of Hydraulic Systems and Piping Layouts.
• Good knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Engineering Change Management.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good cross-functional coordination and communication skills.
• Exposure to VAVE / Cost Reduction, Product Development and Field Problem Resolution is preferred.
• Experience in preparing and maintaining BOMs, manufacturing drawings and engineering documentation.
• Knowledge of product improvement and engineering change activities.
