Job summary

Quagmire IT Services LLP in Goa, India, is seeking a Design Engineer to focus on product improvements for Line Pumps & Boom Pumps. Based at the Goa factory, you will coordinate with Pune head office design teams to align production needs with design intent.

You will lead root-cause analysis, implement corrective actions, prepare engineering documentation, and support new product launches, with travel to job sites as required.

Qualifications

• B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 4 years of experience.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as Solid Edge and AutoCAD.
• Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma knowledge is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Immediately required MALEB.Tech in Mechanical Engineering withMinimum 4 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within the heavymachinery or construction equipment sectors who can join within 15 days are acceptable

1. Job Purpose

Overview:

The Design Engineer will work at the Goa factory, focusing on product improvementbased on current production & field issues. He will be also responsible to provideresolutions/ suggestions over current product & process issues. This role will closelycoordinate with the production team at Goa and the design team at the head office inPune to ensure smooth alignment between design and production requirements.

2. Key Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities:

• Understand existing product improvement requirements of Line Pumps &
• Boom Pumps. Collaborate with production teams to address design-related
  issues during the assembly of Line and Boom pumps.
• Collaborate with quality & service team to identify current design issues in
  the field machines & ways to overcome the issues.
• Lead initiatives to resolve existing issues within defined timeline. Support to
  improve production efficiency, product quality, and safety measures within
  the factory.
• Identify VAVE ideas within the product & process. Take initiative to
  implement these ideas with close monitoring.
• Coordinate with the Pune design team to ensure that the assembly process
  aligns with the original design intent & identify deviations.
• Conduct root cause analysis for production/service issues and recommend
  appropriate corrective actions.
• Assist in the design and modification of components and assemblies based
  on feedback from the production line.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Create and maintain comprehensive engineering documentation, including
  process maps and assembly guidelines & engineering standards.

Secondary Responsibilities:

• Support the development and launch of new products, ensuring smooth
  transitions from design to production.
• Participate in regular reviews to assess production performance, identifybottlenecks, and propose solutions.

Certifications/Licenses:

• Proficiency in CAD software ("e.g., Solid Edge, AutoCAD") isrequired.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma is anadvantage

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Based in the Goa factory with occasional travel to the Pune headquarters. Ready to travel to job sites & suppliers based on needs.

Physical Demands:
