Job summary

ABB in Nashik, India, is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to support engineering activities for projects of varying sizes under senior engineers. You will help produce electrical designs, schematics, and project documentation in line with IEC standards and safety requirements.

Key tasks include survey work, designing low-voltage switchgear (MCC, PCC, PDP), preparing BOMs, and collaborating with customers, contractors, and internal teams while using EPLAN (mandatory) and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in Electrical Design Engineering.
• EPLAN is mandatory; knowledge of AutoCAD is an added advantage.
• Experience in designing Low Voltage Switchgear products (MCC, PCC, PDP, IEC switchgear).
• Experience in preparing electrical schematics, panel drawings, and engineering documentation.
• Knowledge of Bill of Materials (BOM) preparation and As-Built documentation.
• Understanding of IEC standards applicable to Low Voltage Switchgear.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

This Position reports to:

Engineering Manager

Your Role And Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support engineering activities in all types of project sizes and complexities, under the supervision of senior engineers. Each day, you will complete the tasks cost‑effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards. You will also showcase your expertise by collecting data and supporting production of the engineering design.

This role is contributing to the Electrification business in Smart Power division at Nashik, India

You will be mainly accountable for:
