Job summary

Utkarsh India is seeking a Structural Design Engineer in Kolkata to lead PEB design across industrial and commercial projects. The role focuses on PEB framing, space frames, and crane-enabled structures with strong code knowledge.

You will design foundations, roof systems, and mezzanines, while preparing BOQs and cost estimates. Proficiency in STAAD Pro and AutoCAD is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience in the design of Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEBs) including industrial and commercial structures.
• Proficiency in STAAD Pro and AutoCAD.
• Strong knowledge of IS, AISC, and MBMA codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead PEB design of purlins, girts, canopies, fascia, eave gutters and down-takes.
• Design built-up and hot-rolled lacing columns, jack beams and portal frames.
• Design mezzanine and other structures including beams and columns.
• Work on infrastructure design such as railway platform canopies and FOB.
• Design EOT crane gantries and apply IS/MBMA codes.
• Design roof structures (single/double slope, arch, dome).
• Design foundation bolts and base plates for fixed/pinned connections.
• Provide design solutions for lift structures as per project requirements.
• Perform comprehensive foundation design and estimation for shallow and deep foundations.
• Design RCC water tanks using STAAD Pro.
• Prepare detailed BOQs and cost estimates using Excel.
• Provide space frame design in line with client specifications.

Role & responsibilities :

• Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB) Design: Lead the design of Purlins, Girts, Canopies, Fascia, Eave gutters, and Down-takes.
• Structural Design: Design Built-Up and Hot-Rolled Lacing Columns, Jack Beams, and Portal Frames.
• Mezzanine and Other Structures: Design of Mezzanine Floor Beams & Columns and Chequered Plates.
• Infrastructure Design: Work on design projects such as Railway Platform Canopies (COP) and Foot Over Bridges (FOB).
• Crane Systems: Design of EOT Crane Gantries, including the application of IS and MBMA codes.
• Roof and Dome Structures: Design Single Slope, Double Slope, Arch Roofs, and Dome Structures.
• Connection Design: Design of Foundation Bolts and Base Plates for Fixed & Pinned Connections.
• Lift Structures: Provide design solutions for Lift Structures as per project requirements.
• Foundation Design: Perform comprehensive foundation design and estimation, both for shallow and deep foundations.
• RCC Water Tanks: Design of underground and overhead RCC water tanks using STAAD Pro.
• Bill of Quantities (BOQ) Preparation: Prepare detailed BOQs and cost estimates using Microsoft Excel.
• Space Frame Design: Provide design expertise for space frame structures in line with client specifications and requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

1. Proficient in the design of Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEBs) structures, including industrial and commercial buildings.

2. Expertise in STAAD Pro, AutoCAD
