Job summary

Sun360 in Goa is seeking a design engineer for freshers who can prepare layouts, perform sizing, and study standards for solar projects. You will work on SLDs, BOQs, and design databases, gaining hands-on exposure to industry tools and live projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Renewable, or Energy Engineering.
• Freshers welcome (0-1 year experience).
• Basic knowledge of solar PV systems.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar tools.
• Good learning attitude and problem-solving.
• Ability to work in a team and communicate well.

Responsibilities

• Prepare array layouts, equipment layouts and SLDs for solar projects.
• Carry out system sizing calculations and prepare BOQ.
• Conduct technical research on solar products, equipment and systems.
• Study IEC and IS standards applicable to solar projects.
• Apply MNRE guidelines for Goa and neighboring states.
• Maintain design databases, CRM and project trackers.
• Monitor RMS platforms, including performance analysis.
• Coordinate with Procurement on technical requirements and vendors.
• Work with Design Manager on process improvements and project management.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure design requirements and progress.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare array layouts, equipment layouts and Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) for solar projects.
• Carry out system sizing calculations and prepare accurate Bill of Quantities (BOQ).
• Conduct technical research on solar products, equipment and systems.
• Study and apply relevant IEC and IS standards applicable to solar projects.
• Understand and apply applicable solar policies and MNRE guidelines for Goa and neighboring states.
• Maintain and update design databases, CRM and project trackers.
• Monitor RMS platforms, including performance analysis and generation comparison.
• Coordinate with the Procurement team and vendors on technical requirements and product-related communication.
• Work closely with the Design Manager on process improvement initiatives and project management activities.
• Coordinate with relevant internal teams to ensure design requirements are clearly communicated and projects progress as per technical requirements.
