Job summary

Sun360 is seeking early-career engineers to design and deliver solar projects in Goa. You will prepare layouts, SLDs, and BOQs while researching solar products and applying relevant standards.

The role offers hands-on training on live projects, mentorship from experienced professionals, and opportunities for growth within a fast-growing renewable energy company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Renewable, or Energy Engineering.
• Freshers welcome (0–1 year experience).
• Basic knowledge of solar PV systems is a plus.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare array layouts, equipment layouts and SLDs for solar projects.
• Carry out system sizing calculations and prepare BOQ.
• Conduct technical research on solar products, equipment and systems.
• Study and apply IEC and IS standards for solar projects.
• Understand and apply MNRE guidelines for Goa and neighboring states.
• Maintain design databases, CRM and project trackers.
• Monitor RMS platforms, performance analysis and generation comparison.
• Coordinate with Procurement and vendors on technical requirements.
• Work with Design Manager on process improvement initiatives and project management.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare array layouts, equipment layouts and Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) for solar projects.

Carry out system sizing calculations and prepare accurate Bill of Quantities (BOQ).

Conduct technical research on solar products, equipment and systems.

Study and apply relevant IEC and IS standards applicable to solar projects.

Understand and apply applicable solar policies and MNRE guidelines for Goa and neighboring states.

Maintain and update design databases, CRM and project trackers.

Monitor RMS platforms, including performance analysis and generation comparison.

Coordinate with the Procurement team and vendors on technical requirements and product-related communication.

Work closely with the Design Manager on process improvement initiatives and project management activities.

Coordinate with relevant internal teams to ensure design requirements are clearly communicated and projects progress as per technical requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Renewable, or Energy Engineering.
