Job summary

Chakradhara Aerospace And Cargo in India is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer responsible for turning concepts into detailed designs, producing 2D drawings and BOMs, and ensuring compliance with AS9100.

You will coordinate with Planning, prepare design reports for NPD projects, and support in-house fabrication, testing prototypes to verify form, fit and function against product specs.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical design activities following specified methodology.
• Ability to produce 2D drawings and BOM for final design.
• Knowledge of AS9100 quality standards and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out detailed mechanical design of concepts within planned time.
• Prepare 2D drawings and BOM for final design to enable manufacturing.
• Raise purchase requests for BOI items to ensure on-time availability.
• Prepare Detailed Design Reports for NPD projects for customer approval.
• Capture data per ACDE and AS9100 formats for process compliance.
• Coordinate with Planning to release batch files for machining.
• Oversee assembly of NPD products with assembly procedure documents.
• Test prototypes for form, fit and function to meet specs.
• Prepare production documents for prototype NPD projects for design library.

Role & responsibilities

Purpose of the role

1. Carryout Mechanical design activity as per design methodology within allocated time to meet customer requirement.

2. Create design documents for all executed projects to meet AS9100 Compliance

Responsibilities

Carryout the Detailed Designing of the concept design to complete it in the planned time

Prepare 2D drawings for the final design to manufacture the parts Prepare Bill of Material for the final design to realize the product

Raise Purchase request for BOI items to get the item on time

Prepare Detailed Design Report for NPD Projects to get customer approval

Capture data as per ACDE and AS9100 format documents for process compliance

Coordinate with Planning Department to release batch file for machining parts to complete in-house fabrication on-time

Carryout assembly activity of NPD products with the help of assembly team with assembly procedure document

Test prototype NPD projects for form, fit and functional requirement to meet product specification

Prepare production document for prototype proved NPD Projects to store in design library for production use
