Job summary

Kesseboehmer Furniture Fittings India Pvt. Ltd. in Pune, Maharashtra, seeks a Design and Development Engineer to support the design, development, localization, testing, and launch of furniture fittings for the Indian market.

The role involves using CREO Parametric and AutoCAD to create and modify products, prepare drawings and BOMs, and collaborate with suppliers and internal teams across departments. 1–3 years of experience preferred, with mechanical engineering qualifications.

Qualifications

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design and modify products using CREO Parametric and AutoCAD.
• Prepare engineering drawings, product specifications, BOMs, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with domestic and international suppliers for prototypes, samples, quotations, tooling, and product development.
• Conduct product testing, dimensional inspection, fitment, functionality, and quality evaluation.
• Evaluate competitor products and support product improvement and localization.
• Identify and develop suppliers and support cost reduction and vendor development.
• Coordinate with Sales, Purchase, Quality, Production, Warehouse, Marketing, and overseas suppliers.
• Support product costing, sample approvals, and product launches.
• Maintain project trackers and engineering records.
• Any other tasks assigned by the reporting manager

Experience: 1 - 3 years

Job Purpose

To support the design, development, localization, testing, and launch of furniture fittings and storage solutions for the Indian market.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and modify products using CREO Parametric and AutoCAD.
• Prepare engineering drawings, product specifications, BOMs, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with domestic and international suppliers for prototypes, samples, quotations, tooling, and product development.
