Job summary

Exide Energy Solutions Limited (EESL) in Bengaluru's Devanahalli is seeking a Production Process Engineer to drive efficient, sustainable Li-ion cell manufacturing at India's first giga plant.

You will analyze advanced processes, lead cross-functional improvements, collect production data, partner with QA and maintenance, and champion waste and energy reduction initiatives while maintaining SOPs and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech required in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, or Industrial Automation.
• 5–15 years of Production Process Engineering experience in OEM or Tier 1 automotive environments.
• Demonstrated capability to lead process improvement initiatives and ensure regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and evaluate advanced manufacturing processes for efficiency, quality, and sustainability.
• Lead or participate in cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and operational excellence.
• Collect and analyse production data to optimize processes and ensure seamless manufacturing.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance to maintain product quality, safety, and compliance.
• Work with Maintenance to develop preventive maintenance plans and minimize downtime.
• Champion initiatives to reduce waste, energy use, and environmental impact in manufacturing.
• Maintain records of process changes, SOPs, and best practices for accuracy and compliance.
• Provide training and support to Operations teams for effective implementation of new processes.

Exide Energy Solutions Limited is looking for Process Engineer in the Manufacturing organisation to achieve company’s goal at the Devanahalli, Bangalore Location.

Purpose: The purpose of the Production Process Engineer role is to ensure the efficient and sustainable operation of our Li-ion Cell Gigafactory's cutting-edge manufacturing processes, driving continuous improvement, and upholding the highest standards of quality and sustainability

Job Description:

• Analyse and evaluate advanced manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, quality, and sustainability.
• Lead or participate in cross-functional teams to drive ongoing process enhancements, promoting operational excellence.
• Collect and analyse production data, using data-driven insights to optimize processes and ensure seamless production.
• Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to maintain high standards of product quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Work closely with the Maintenance team to develop and execute preventive maintenance plans, minimizing equipment downtime.
• Champion initiatives to reduce waste, energy consumption, and environmental impact within the manufacturing process.
• Maintain comprehensive records of process changes, standard operating procedures, and best practices, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Provide training and support to Operations teams, ensuring the effective implementation and sustainability of new processes.

Qualification:

BE or B.Tech in Electrical / Mechanical / Mechatronics / Manufacturing / Industrial Automation

Experience:

5-15 Years of experience in Production Process Engineering experience in OEM / Tier 1 Automotive company
