Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer who is passionate about process excellence and operational efficiency. This role will play a key part in bridging the gap between design, R&D, and production—ensuring a seamless transition from prototype development to mass manufacturing.

You will be responsible for evaluating product designs for manufacturability, developing efficient assembly processes, supporting tooling development, and driving continuous improvement on the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review product designs to ensure manufacturability and ease of assembly
  • Collaborate with design and R&D teams to provide feedback during development
  • Design and optimize workstation layouts and assembly processes for battery packs
  • Develop SOPs and assembly guidelines for both prototype and mass production
  • Lead the transition from pilot builds to full-scale production
  • Design and develop custom jigs, fixtures, and tooling solutions
  • Support selection of automated/semi-automated machinery and production equipment
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely prototype builds
  • Liaise with the SCM team for timely material availability
  • Assist in vendor development and evaluate supplier manufacturing capabilities
  • Maintain and modify production BOMs based on design changes or production needs
  • Troubleshoot production issues related to quality, yield, and throughput
  • Conduct time studies, capacity planning, and production line balancing
  • Drive lean initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen, and root cause analysis for continuous improvement
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role
  • Prior experience in lithium‑ion battery, automotive, or electronics manufacturing preferred
  • Strong knowledge of DFM/DFA, process validation, and production workflows
  • Proficient in CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD), production planning software, and MS Office
  • Experience in tool/jig design, machine selection, and line setup
  • Working knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and quality systems
  • Excellent interpersonal and cross‑functional coordination skills
  • Hands‑on, analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving capabilities
What We Offer
  • Be part of a company powering next‑generation clean energy systems
