Job summary

Saaki Argus And Averil Consulting is seeking an Operations Lead to oversee the Integrated Packing Centre in Karnataka, India. You will manage packing machinery, automation systems and related equipment to ensure smooth and timely packing activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the Integrated Packing Centre and ensure smooth and timely execution of packing activities.
• Monitor productivity, machine utilisation, downtime, output, quality and operating costs.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency and cost effectiveness.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, Warehouse, Procurement and Supply Chain teams to ensure uninterrupted packing operations.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs, safety requirements and process controls across the facility.
• Analyze operational data and prepare performance reports, highlighting gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Support preventive maintenance planning and timely resolution of machine breakdowns.
• Lead and support the team to achieve daily, monthly and annual targets.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, safety and organisational requirements related to manpower and facility operations.
• Develop a performance-oriented culture focused on productivity and safety.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead the day-to-day operations of the Integrated Packing Centre and ensure smooth and timely execution of packing activities.Manage the performance, utilisation and reliability of packing machinery, automation systems and related equipment.Monitor key operational parameters including productivity, machine utilisation, downtime, output, quality and operating costs.Identify operational bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, efficiency and cost effectiveness.Plan and manage contract manpower requirements, including deployment, shift planning, attendance, productivity, discipline and compliance.Coordinate closely with Maintenance, Quality, Warehouse, Procurement and Supply Chain teams to ensure uninterrupted packing operations.Ensure adherence to defined SOPs, quality standards, safety requirements and process controls across the facility.Analyse operational data and prepare regular performance reports, highlighting gaps, corrective actions and improvement opportunities.Support preventive maintenance planning and ensure timely resolution of machine breakdowns to minimise operational downtime.Implement standardised operating practices and support the adoption of best practices in packing, automation and operational excellence.Lead and support the team in achieving daily, monthly and annual operational targets.Ensure compliance with statutory, safety and organisational requirements related to manpower and facility operations.Develop a performance-oriented work culture focused on productivity, accountability, safety and continuous improvement.
