Job summary

Dalmia Bharat Group is seeking a Production Supervisor to manage daily shop floor operations in line with SOPs and plant targets.

You will supervise shifts, coordinate with maintenance, quality and utilities, monitor process parameters, and drive safety and continuous improvement initiatives for optimum efficiency and product quality.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day production and process operations on the shop floor.
• Supervise and control daily production activities during the assigned shift.
• Ensure production targets (quantity and quality) are met as per schedule.
• Monitor equipment performance and process parameters through DCS/field instruments.
• Coordinate with maintenance, quality, and utility departments for smooth operations.
• Analyze process data to identify abnormalities and take corrective action.
• Maintain process discipline and ensure adherence to SOPs and process standards.
• Support process optimization and yield improvement initiatives.
• Report deviations in quality or process to the section head immediately.
• Ensure all operations comply with safety and environmental regulations.
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety checks before shift start.
• Promote safe working practices and report unsafe acts/conditions.
• Supervise operators and helpers on the shopfloor.
• Ensure manpower availability and shift handover documentation.
• Provide on-the-job training and guidance to team members.
• Maintain daily production and downtime logs.
• Record process parameters and key performance data accurately.
• Prepare shift reports and communicate to the next shift/section head.
• Achievement of production targets, process efficiency and energy consumption, product quality compliance.
• Equipment uptime and breakdown reduction, safety performance.
