Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited is seeking a production supervisor in the automotive manufacturing sector in Maharashtra. You will ensure production plans are implemented and resources deployed to meet daily targets on assembly lines, while maintaining stringent in-process quality checks and addressing customer concerns.

The role emphasizes productivity improvements and TPM initiatives. The ideal candidate has a BE in Mechanical or Automobile engineering with 3–5 years of relevant experience, and

• BE / Mechanical / Automobile degree required.
• 3–5 years of experience in automotive manufacturing.
• Experience in line balancing, TPM, and cost reduction is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure production plan implementation and deployment of resources as per schedule.
• Meet daily production targets on respective assembly lines.
• Maintain quality targets through in-process checks and address customer concerns.
• Improve department productivity and implement new initiatives (e.g., TPM, cost reduction) to reduce non-value-added activities.
• Coordinate line balancing, layout changes, and procurement of assembly tools to support production activity.

Job description

Select how often (in days) to receive an alert:

• Ensure production plan implementation and deployment of resources as per schedule requirement.
• Ensure daily production targets in respective Assy. line.
• Ensure quality targets with respect to in process quality checks, quality checks and customer concerns
• Ensure utilization of workforce planned EWT as per MOST. The candidate must have knowledge of calculating work content and manpower deployment.
• To improve productivity of the department.
• Ensure implementation of the new initiatives at the respective Assy. Lines e.g. TPM, Cost reduction, to reduce NVA's and others.
• Ensure FIFO and roll down to RFD lead-time and control WIP.
• Keep track of vehicles in terms of PDI/RFD, WIP and stock and liasioning with marketing.
• Resolving day to day production, quality and labour issues.Undertake facility planning to meet the CPPC budget.
• Knowledge on DCP
• Preparing and implementing action plans for line balancing and layout changes in order to maximize the output
• Facilitate and Arrange of Assembly tools to support to production activity.
