Job summary

Magicrete Building Solutions in Khimsar, Rajasthan is seeking a DM - Mechanical Maintenance to ensure reliable and efficient operation of lime plant machinery. You will lead preventive and breakdown maintenance, plan shutdowns, and drive continuous improvement of equipment uptime.

The role requires 8-10 years of mechanical maintenance experience in heavy plant settings such as lime/cement, strong safety mindset, and ability to supervise teams and contractors while coordinating with production

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering may be considered with relevant experience.
• 8-10 years of experience in mechanical maintenance.
• Experience in lime, cement, manufacturing, or continuous process industries preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute preventive and breakdown maintenance of lime plant machinery.
• Maintain critical equipment including petcoke briquetting plant, kiln, conveyors, and EOT crane.
• Plan and execute annual and periodic shutdown maintenance activities.
• Develop preventive maintenance schedules and checklists.
• Coordinate with production, electrical, and EHS teams for uptime and safety.
• Supervise maintenance technicians and contractors; ensure safety SOPs.
• Identify and maintain critical spares inventory and optimize costs.

Role Summary

The DM - Mechanical Maintenance is responsible for ensuring reliable and efficient mechanical operations at the Lime manufacturing plant. The role focuses on preventive and breakdown maintenance, equipment uptime, shutdown planning, and continuous improvement of plant machinery to ensure uninterrupted production and operational safety. This position plays a critical role in maintaining equipment reliability and supporting production targets at Magicrete s Lime manufacturing operations.

Plant Maintenance Operations

• Plan and execute preventive and breakdown maintenance of lime plant machinery
• Maintain critical equipment including petcoke Briquetting plant, single shaft vertical kiln, skip winch, unloader, distributor, blowers, ID fan, mixers, compressors, conveyors, pulverizer, EOT crane, hammer mill and material handling systems
• Ensure maximum equipment availability and minimize unplanned downtime

Shutdown & Preventive Maintenance

• Plan and execute annual and periodic shutdown maintenance activities
• Develop preventive maintenance schedules and checklists
• Analyze recurring breakdowns and implement corrective actions

Spare Parts & Inventory Management

• Identify and maintain critical spares inventory
• Coordinate with procurement for timely availability of spares
• Monitor maintenance costs and optimize spare utilization

Team & Contractor Supervision

• Supervise maintenance technicians and contractors
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and SOPs during maintenance activities
• Allocate manpower efficiently for maintenance tasks

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with plant safety standards and statutory requirements
• Participate in safety audits and implement corrective measures
• Maintain documentation related to maintenance activities

Coordination & Reporting

• Coordinate with production, electrical, and EHS teams
• Maintain maintenance logs, breakdown reports, and KPI dashboards
• Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering may be considered with relevant experience

Experience & Industry Background

• 8-10 years of experience in mechanical maintenance
• Experience in lime, cement, manufacturing, or continuous process industries preferred.
