Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited [Automotive and Farm Equipment Business] seeks a skilled mechanical engineer with 2-3 years of machine shop experience to drive precision machining. The role includes programming FANUC/Siemens/Mazatrol controls, addressing production issues and ensuring quality targets through PFMEA, SPC and Kaizen practices.

The candidate will contribute to TPM activities, 5S implementation, tool life optimization, and continuous process improvements in a fast-paced manufacturing

Qualifications

• 2-3 Years experience of machine shop.
• Bachelor/Master level mechanical engineering background.

Responsibilities

• Machining of castings using various processes.
• Operate and program latest CNC machines (Fanuc, Siemens, Mazatrol).
• Address day-to-day issues to meet production and quality targets.
• Implement quality tools and process controls to improve OEE, CP/CPK, PFMEA and control plans.
• Support TPM, 5S culture, tool life monitoring, fixtures setup and maintenance.

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

• Various machining processes including machining of castings.


• Functioning of latest CNC machine tools.


• Programming of Fanuc, Siemens, mazatrol controls.Solving day to day issues for achieving production/quality targets.Process up gradation in terms of quality products and improvement in overall system.Consolidation and analysis of rejection and rework.Quality assurance techniques or procedure for production.


• Monitoring and improving OEE of machines.Evaluation of CP and CPK of machines PFMEA and control plan, Kaizen and poka-yoke.Effective implementation of corrective and preventive action by Error Proofing and Process controls.


• Monitoring and improving cutting tools life.Maintenance, up-gradation, setup change of Fixtures.TPM activities, 5S culture etc
