Job summary

Mahindra And Mahindra Limited is seeking a Deputy Manager for Drivetrain Integration and Transmission Design in Bengaluru. The role focuses on creating 3D/2D data per project requirements, releasing data in PLM, and supporting manufacturability, producibility and assembly of designs with industry-standard parts.

You will drive technical sign-offs, prepare interface documents with suppliers, and contribute to DVP&R, DFMEA andPPAP processes across the product lifecycle with internal and external

Job description

Deputy Manager - Drivetrain Integration and Transmission Design

Role Summary: Creating 3D and 2D data as per project requirements Data release in PLM Support engineering in defining manufacturability, producibility, and assembly of design using industry standard parts and products Create Technical sign-off and interface documents with CFT’s and supplier components Completion of all documents like D-FMEA, DFM, DFA & DFS and uploading in PLM and release.

Core Responsibilities:

• Handling project CAD data and documentation
• Creation of 2D data with GD&T and CTQ requirements
• DMU packaging study
• Addressing supplier quiries and accomodating DFM, DFA feedback
• Creating documents for assembly, interface and desing freeze
• CFT activities: Cross- functional Collaboration
• Support for design, development & validation product lifecycle with different internal & external stakeholders like Program, Development, VI, Manufacturing, Validation for DVP&R, DFMEA, Rig & vehicle level validation technical inputs, durability test correlation, and failure mode root-cause analysis and resolution
• Vendor and manufacturing support: DFM feasibility check with heat treatment specification, gear finishing process selection (honing/shaving/grinding), GD&T release with full PPAP documentation and technical signoff
• DMU / Interface signoff for Module wise with VI and design release in TC
• Updating 3D and 2D data based on DFM and DFA feedback

Skills & Technical Competencies:

• Expert-level proficiency in: Kisssoft, Catia V5/V6, Teamcenter
• Strong grounding in: Gear, bearing, Spline design & selection as per AGMA, DIN, ISO Surface engineering & tribology for high torque density EV gears
• Independent handling of trasnmission assembly for DFA

Preferred Experience:

• EV drivetrain product delivery from concept through SOP 3-Wheeler cargo pullability and grade challenge requirements LCV gearbox cost-optimized manufacturing and field-life reliability, cabin NVH/noise masking, shift feel refinement
