Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited in Pune seeks a seasoned Quality leader to drive deployment of quality standards across manufacturing locations, monitor KPIs, and sustain QMS.

You will lead CAPA, supplier quality, and customer quality improvements while guiding new product quality activities and audits to ensure manufacturing readiness and reliable product performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 10-15 years in Manufacturing Quality, Customer Quality, Supplier Quality, Product Quality, or Central Quality.
• Experience in automotive or manufacturing industries is preferred.
• Strong background in implementing and sustaining quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Drive deployment of quality standards across manufacturing locations.

• Lead CAPA initiatives to prevent recurrence.

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Quality Management & Governance

• Drive deployment of quality standards, systems, and best practices across manufacturing locations.
• Monitor key quality performance indicators and lead quality review mechanisms.
• Ensure effective implementation and sustenance of Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• Facilitate cross-functional actions to achieve quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction targets.

Manufacturing Quality

• Monitor manufacturing quality performance and drive defect reduction initiatives.
• Improve first-pass yield, process capability, and operational quality metrics.
• Lead investigations of chronic and critical manufacturing quality issues.
• Drive implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence.

Customer & Field Quality

• Analyze warranty trends, customer complaints, and field failures.
• Lead root cause analysis and closure of customer quality issues through cross-functional teams.
• Support resolution of critical customer concerns and field quality escalations.
• Track effectiveness of corrective actions and drive continuous improvement.

Supplier Quality

• Work closely with suppliers to improve incoming quality performance.
• Participate in supplier assessments, audits, and capability-building initiatives.
• Support supplier quality improvement projects to reduce defects and enhance reliability.
• Monitor supplier quality KPIs and drive corrective actions where required.

New Product Quality

• Support quality assurance activities during new product development and launch phases.
• Monitor infant-care performance of newly launched products and drive issue resolution.
• Ensure manufacturing readiness and quality controls are established before production ramp-up.
• Participate in product validation and reliability improvement initiatives.

Compliance & Audit Management

• Ensure adherence to applicable quality, environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Plan and conduct internal quality audits and support external audits.
• Drive closure of audit observations and system compliance gaps.
• Support certification and regulatory compliance activities.

Continuous Improvement

• Drive Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and cost-of-poor-quality reduction initiatives.
• Promote use of structured problem-solving methodologies.
• Conduct quality awareness and capability-building programs for plant and functional teams.
• Develop and maintain quality dashboards and management reports.

Experience

Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Automobile/Production/Industrial or related discipline).10-15years of experience in Manufacturing Quality, Customer Quality, Supplier Quality, Product Quality, or Central Quality functions.Experience in engineering, automotive, power generation, industrial equipment, or manufacturing industries preferred.
