Job summary

Adani Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer for on-site management of Thermal Power Plant projects in Raigarh. You will oversee execution activities, coordinate across engineering, procurement, and site teams, and ensure safety, schedules, and quality are maintained throughout commissioning.

The role requires 6–10 years in control and instrumentation with at least 3 years in power plants, plus a diploma/BE/BTech in C&I or related field.

Responsibilities

• Execute electrical project activities in Thermal Power Plant projects.
• Monitor installation, erection, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment.
• Ensure compliance with project schedules, technical specifications, and safety standards.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, contractors, consultants, and site teams.
• Track project progress and resolve technical issues during execution.
• Oversee installation and commissioning of generators, transformers, switchgear, GIS/AIS switchyards, bus ducts, motors and MCCs, UPS, battery systems & chargers, electrical protection systems, plant lighting, earthing & lightning protection.
• Review and execute testing procedures and commissioning plans.
• Perform pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
• Coordinate with OEMs and consultants during equipment testing.
• Ensure successful synchronization and system integration activities.
• Manage EPC contractors and subcontractors.
• Review contractor bills and certify work completion.
• Monitor contract compliance, progress, and performance.
• Coordinate with vendors for technical discussions and issue resolution.
• Prepare project schedules and progress reports.
• Review engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Ensure timely submission of reports, MIS, and project documentation.
• Facilitate punch point closure and project handover activities.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and statutory regulations.
• Implement quality control procedures during execution.
• Conduct risk assessments and corrective actions.
• Promote safe work practices at project sites.
