Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited in Haridwar welcomes a quality engineer to oversee assembly line processes, monitor torque control tools, and ensure high vehicle quality with Poka-yoke and QC techniques.

You will develop and deploy quality systems (BIQ focus), perform SPC on line fixtures, calibrate torque and pneumatic tools, and train teams on industrial standards. 3–7 years in manufacturing is preferred and BE/BTech in Mechanical or Automobile is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Automobile engineering.
• 3–7 years of experience in manufacturing/quality roles.
• Knowledge of quality systems and inline process controls.

Responsibilities

• Understand assembly line equipment processes and parameters.
• Ensure consistent vehicle quality and straight pass.
• Apply Poka-yoke, HEP and QC tools for problem solving.
• Develop and deploy quality systems aligned with BIQ.
• Identify gaps, document and train teams.
• Monitor SPC on line torque control tools.
• Calibrate torque and pneumatic tools as needed.
• Support engineering specs testing on vehicles.
• Verify quality inspector certification via MSA.
• Contribute to WRAP warranty reduction audits.
• Understand vehicle subsystems like HVAC, brakes, clutch.

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

1. Responsible with understanding of assembly line equipment’s process and parameterslike wheel alignment ,Dynamometers, filling equipment’s etc
2. Responsible Consistent Quality of rolled out vehicles with understanding of straight pass.
3. Systematic Concern Resolution Process with understanding of Poke yoke, HEP,& QC tools
4. Responsible for Develop & Deploy Quality Systems in line with focus on BIQ
5. Identifying the need, bridging ownership gaps, documenting & training
6. Responsible & Monitoring SPC on line Torque control nut runner (TCNR)
7. Understanding of torque and pneumatic tools for Calibration eg., TCNR,Battery tools
8. Responsible for engineering specification test on Vehicle
9. Responsible for check man(Quality Inspector) certification through MSA(measurement system analysis)
10. Responsible field failure control through WRAP(warranty reduction audit process)
11. Understanding of vehicle system like HVAC ,brakes, clutch, diagnostics etc
