You will oversee chart of accounts, depreciation, WIP, and subcontractor settlements, ensuring accurate reporting and tight controls on GST and RERA compliance.

The role requires senior-level experience (MBA/CA-like) and hands-on expertise with ERP systems and MS Excel to model complex project finances and cash flows.

Job description

Role & responsibilities :

1. General Accounting & Financial Governance

• Manage the complete chart of accounts for assigned projects, ensuring accurate and structured ledger entries for all capital expenditure, operational assets, liabilities, and revenues.
• Perform comprehensive balance sheet, bank, and ledger reconciliations during monthly and quarterly book closures to guarantee zero discrepancies.
• Supervise day-to-day corporate financial transactions, accounting journals, petty cash systems, and fund allocation processes across project accounts.

Oversee accurate depreciation accounting, fixed asset registers, inventory valuations, and material capitalisation tracking for construction machinery and materials

2. Construction Financials & Subcontractor Management

• Validate and clear sub-contractor progress claims, Running Account (RA) bills, and final settlements against physical work completion verifications and contract parameters.
• Execute rigorous Work-In-Progress (WIP) ledger reviews, tracking project cost codes across structural, finishing, and MEP works against approved budgets.
• Monitor and control client retention funds, structu
• ral holdbacks, performance security reserves, and mobilization advances to prevent financial exposure.
• Develop detailed Monthly Cash Flow projections, coordinating fund requirements with the corporate office to match dynamic on-site execution cycles.

3. Taxation, RERA & Statutory Compliances

• Enforce accurate calculation, filing, and compliance for Works Contract GST, Input Tax Credit (ITC) optimization, and structural TDS/TCS obligations.
• Maintain strict adherence to RERA guidelines, regulating the mandatory 70% project escrow bank accounts and handling precise project fund utilization tracking.
• Coordinate with statutory auditors, tax consultants, and external regulatory bodies to provide clean documentation for timely assessments, audits, and compliance audits.

Preferred candidate profile :

• Experience: 10 years of intensive accounting or financial experience for MBA or 4 to 5 Years for Inter-CA, Inter-ICWA, or equivalent advanced financial validation.
• Education: Masters degree in Commerce (M.Com), MBA in Finance, Inter-CA, Inter-ICWA, or equivalent advanced financial validation.
• Technical Toolkit: Advanced mastery of enterprise ERP systems, alongside professional proficiency in MS Excel for complex spreadsheet modelling.
• Regulatory Domain: Solid working knowledge of accounting updates (AS), RERA frameworks if possible, and GST statutes specific to works contracts

Preferred Credentials (Nice-to-Have)

• Prior exposure managing large-scale luxury residential high-rise project accounts within the Hyderabad market.
