Job summary

Evolve Back Resorts seeks a Deputy General Manager – Projects to oversee all projects in India and abroad. You will drive end-to-end delivery, ensure top quality, manage budgets, and deliver cutting-edge architectural and technological solutions for the brand.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, coordinate with architects, contractors and internal stakeholders to ensure timely completion and adherence to codes, permits and safety regulations while maintaining the brand’s high standards.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in project management and execution within hospitality or related sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams (Civil, MEP, HVAC, fire, IT, Interiors).
• Strong budgeting skills with proven cost-control outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead full project life-cycle from inception to handover, reporting to the Director of Projects.

• Create and maintain project schedules using PM software; coordinate material, manpower and funding.
• Prepare BOQs, cost estimates, budgets and perform cost control.
• Organise and chair project meetings; prepare MOMs and monitor progress.
• Ensure compliance with local, state and national building codes, safety regulations and permits.

Position Overview

The Deputy General Manager – Projects is responsible for all projects of Evolve Back Resorts in India and abroad. The role requires ensuring timely completion, highest standards of quality, adherence to budgets, and delivery of cutting‑edge architectural and technological solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full project life‑cycle from inception to handover, reporting to the Director of Projects.
• Collaborate with architects, consultants, contractors and internal stakeholders (Procurement, Finance, Operations, HR, Sales, etc.) to execute projects efficiently.
• Create and maintain project schedules using project‑management software, coordinating material purchase, manpower, and fund requirements.
• Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimates, budgets, and perform cost control.
• Organise and chair project meetings, preparing agendas, minutes of meetings (MOMs), and monitoring progress.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and national building codes, safety regulations and obtain necessary permits and licenses.
• Conduct market research to identify contractors, technologies and strategies that optimise cost and improve project outcomes.
• Maintain healthy relations with vendors, suppliers and contractors, fostering trust and commitment.
• Recruit, train, develop and retain project team members in collaboration with HR.
• Prepare weekly and monthly management information systems (MIS) updates for directors and board.
• Support maintenance and AMC administration of existing buildings as required.
• Promote and model the brand philosophy and values of Evolve Back Resorts.
